Itinerary

Day 1Welcome to Amman

Upon arrival to Queen Alia International Airport our representative will be awaiting to assist you with arrival and visa formalities. Next, you will be transferred to the hotel.

Day 2Jereash - Aljoun - Amman

After breakfast, transfer to visit Jerash, Pompeii of the East. The grand Greco-Roman ruins of Jerash
are one of the major tourist attractions in Jordan. The site covers a huge area and can seem daunting
at first, but our guide will help them navigate the main complex. Walking at a leisurely pace and
allowing time for sitting on a fallen column and enjoying the spectacular views. You can visit the
main ruins in a minimum of two to three hours.

At the extreme south of the site is the striking Hadrian’s Arch, also known as the Triumphal Arch; built in 129 AD in honor of the visit of Emperor Hadrian. Behind this arch is the Hippodrome, which hosted chariot races in front of up to 15,000 spectators. The South Gate leads into the city proper, one of the most distinctive sites of Jerash, The Forum. It is unusual because of its shape and huge size. Fifty six ionic columns surround the paved limestone plaza, linking the cardo Maximus with the Temple of Zeust.

Afterwards transfer to Ajloun Castle, medieval name Qalʻat ar-Rabad, is a 12th-century Muslim castle situated in northwestern Jordan. It is placed on a hilltop belonging to the Mount Ajloun district, also known as Jabal ‘Auf after a Bedouin tribe which had captured the area in the 12th century, then back to Amman City for Panoramic tour , after that back to Amman Hotel for Dinner and overnight.

Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

Day 3Castles & Dead sea

Departure to the east of the city to visit some of the most magnificent desert retreats called Desert Castles (Al-Kharana, Amra and Al-Azraq): These castles were magnificently constructed  from the 7th to 11th centuries and were used as caravanserais. Some were utilised as rest pavilions, whereas others were military forts for the defence of territories.

Next, we will visit the Dead Sea. Pack your swim gear as next you can wash off the dust in the Dead Sea – the lowest point on Earth (420 metres below sea level). This super-salty lake is a perfect place to spend some time relaxing and get some classic floating pictures. For those who are game, why not cover yourself from head to toe for a nutrient-rich natural mineral mud bath.

Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

Day 4Madaaba- Mount Nebo - Shobak - Petra

After breakfast traverese to visit the Orthodox Church of Saint George where the first mosaic map of Palestine is situated. next, we will head to Mount Nebo to admire the panoramic view of the Valley of Jordan and the Dead Sea right from the mountain. This spot is of crucial importance because it was the last place visited by Moses; it is the point from which the prophet saw the promised land that he would never reach.

Next is a visit to Shobak Castle (Montreal); the last and the sole reminder of the former glory of the Crusaders. It was built in 1115 by King Baldwin as a defence fortress the route between Damascus and Egypt. The Castle is less than an hour north of Petra. Sometimes it is called “Mont Real or Mons Regalis”, as it is perched on the side of a mountain, grandly located on a large orchid of fruit trees.

Afterwards continue to Petra for dinner and overnight stay.

Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

Day 5Petra- The Pink City

The day is solely dedicated to the visit of the pink city, the capital of the Nabataeans. During the visit, we will discover the most iconic and magnificent monuments carved into the rock by the Nabateans.

Petra was designated a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site. Spend the afternoon on a guided tour of Petra. Squeeze through a mile-long narrow path, known as the Siq, through huge towers of rock and get your first glimpse of the iconic Treasury complex. It’s amazing to think that this enormous, intricate building entrance was hand-carved out of the rock.

Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

Day 6Wadi Rum

After Breakfast, Transfer to Visit the little petra, also known as Siq al-Barid is an archaeological site
located north of Petra and the town of Wadi Musa in the Ma’an Governorate of Jordan. Like Petra, it
is a Nabataean site, with buildings carved into the walls of the sandstone canyons.

Afterwards follow in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia with a journey to Wadi Rum (approximately 5 hours). A half-day jeep safari will take you through some of the most striking desert scenery on the planet. Wadi Rum is full of weird and wonderful lunar-like rock formations, and traces of ancient civilisations can be seen in the many carved inscriptions found throughout the area – from pictographs to Thamudic, Nabataean and Arabic texts. The most enduring monuments in Wadi Rum are those carved by nature – the natural rock bridges, towering rose-coloured sand dunes and scattered rocky peaks.

Tonight, sleep in a camp in middle of Wadi rum desert and under the stars.
