Itinerary

Day 1Welcome to Cairo

Welcome to Egypt. Upon your arrival to our representative will greet you with “Noot” sign and escort you through immigration, customs and baggage claim. Afterwards our travel representative will help you guide to a private transfer to your hotel in Cairo.

Enjoy time at leisure to explore at your own pace, or relax at your hotel.

Meals: Welcome drink.

Day 2Saqqara & Giza Pyramids

Breakfast and take a private transfer to the Giza plateau to see the three pyramids, where we approach the only wonder of the seven ancient ones that remain standing: King Khufu’s great pyramid from the 27th century BC. We continue to the other two pyramids of Chephren and Mikerinus, pausing for a panoramic view of the three joints before concluding the tour at the foot of the famous and enigmatic sphinx, which depicts King Chephren as a lion.

Feast on a local lunch before continuing our day by visiting the Step Pyramid, the world’s oldest pyramid built by King Djoser, and Saqqara complex. Afterwards return to your hotel and spend the night in Cairo.

Day 3Fly to Luxor

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor city. Boarding the Dahabieh, enjoy nature and the city’s markets.

In the afternoon visit the huge temple complex at Karnak , once the religious centre of Thebes and Upper Egypt. It was linked to Luxor by an extensive avenue, lined with sphinxes, and the whole complex was in turn linked to the Nile via a canal through which moved the sacred boats of the god Amun. Walk through its remarkable Hypostyle Hall with its 134 towering columns, each carved with scenes of gods and pharaohs, and hieroglyphic inscriptions adorn the walls.

Day 4Luxor Treasures

Spend the whole day exploring Luxor city temples and monuments. Luxor is believed to hold one third of the world’s ancient monuments. Start with a guided tour to Luxor’s West Bank; Home to the Valley of the Kings, the dusty tombs in this ancient burial site are still revealing their secrets today and so it remains one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, Explore couple of these Pharaonic tombs from inside. Continue to visit the temples of Queen Hatchepsut and the huge Colossi of Memnon

Return to your Dahabeya cruise for lunch and enjoy rest of day free to enjoy the nature and city souqs and Bazaars

Day 5Sailing Luxor to Esna

Breakfast while en route to Esna. Disembark your Dahabeya to visit the temple of Khnum in Esna. This temple is dedicated to the ram-headed god Khnum (the god of Fertility) the Temple of Esna construction started during King Tuthmosis III reign during the 18th Dynasty but the temple completed construction during the Ptolemaic period and the Roman period between 40 to 250 A.D. Inscriptions on the temple wall nominate the important figures related to the creation of the Temple of Esna.

Return to the Dahabieh after the visit. Lunch will be served on board as we sail to the island of El Hegz.

Day 6From Kaab To Edfu & rural villages

After breakfast, we sail to El-Kaab to visit the tombs of the governors of the ancient city, the ruins of the temple where Hathor and Horus used to meet.

Lunch on board while navigating to Edfu. When we arrive, we go to the Temple of Edfu, which is dedicated to the falcon god Horus. The Temple of Horus at Edfu is the best preserved Egyptian temple in the world; one of the last great Egyptian attempts at large-scale monuments, the temple dominates the city’s western edge, though Edfu’s more modest structures are crammed into the enclosure wall.

Continue sailing to the calm green El Fawaza island where you will enjoy a romantic evening on the shores or a walk through the green fruit plantations. Barbecue on Fawaza Island, followed by an overnight stay on board.

Day 7Fawaza to Ramadi & Djebel Silsila

Breakfast is served while sailing to El Ramadi, an old Nile fishing village. We will stop in the small town of Ramadi, which is devoid of tourists and off the beaten track, roam freely in the village and interact with the friendly locals. Ramadi is discovered in the midst of banana, sugar cane, and hibiscus plantations.

Lunch on the way to Djebel Silsila. In ancient times its quarries yielded countless stones for the famous temples in Thebes and along the River Nile; up to 3,000 men were working here. Further you can see here numerous colored chapels used as cenotaphs for high and the Speos of Haremhab, a well preserved and beautifully decorated rock temple. Then we will sail to the picturesque El Beshir island where we will spend the night

Day 8Komombo & Aswan

Breakfast on board while sailing to Kom Ombo to visit the temples of Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, the falcon god. The Kom Ombo temple is more precisely the dual temple of Sobek and Haroeris, standing on a promontory in a Nile bend where sacred crocodiles basked on the riverbank in ancient times. This sandstone temple was built during the Ptolemaic period.

Lunch will be served on the way to Aswan. Upon arrival visit the Temple of Philae, the centre of the goddess Isis’ cult. UNESCO relocated this temple between 1972 and 1980 to save it from the Nile’s waters. For thousands of years, pilgrims have been drawn to the romantic and majestic aura that surrounds the Isis temple complex on the island of Philae. The ruins were a well-known tourist attraction in Egypt.

Day 9Abu Simbel & Back to Cairo

Today you are opt for a visit to the Abu Simble. The twin temples of Abu Simbel. The Temple of Ramesses II is 30 meters high and four enthroned colossal statues of the pharaoh guard the portal. The interior of the temple was dug into the rock on a length of more than sixty meters and beautifully decorated with pillars, colored reliefs and rock cut figures. The temple of Nefertari, Ramesses’ wife, is a simplified version of the Great temple. Please be aware that you see here something unique in ancient Egyptian art – the statues of the king and the queen adorning the façade are equal in size. After this visit you will return to Aswan and have lunch in a local restaurant then head to the airport for your return flight back to Cairo.

Upon arrival to Cairo you will be transferred in private vehicle to your hotel. Rest of the day is free to enjoy at your leisure.

Day 10Egyptian Museum & Old Cairo

Visit the Egyptian Museum home to more than a quarter million artifacts. Afterwards visit the Sultan Hasan Mosque, one of the jewels of mediaeval Islamic architecture; then visit the Coptic Quarter,  visit the hanging church, built into the walls of the water gate of the Roman fortress and is possibly the oldest Christian church in Egypt. Continue to the Monastery and Church of St George, dating from 1909, and is one of the few remaining circular churches in the Middle East. End the tour with a walk at the oldest market in Cairo; the Khan Khalili market.

After breakfast check out and transfer depending on your departure flight to Cairo international airport.
