Jordan

Overview

There is no denying that Jordan is a country steeped in history and culture. From the minute you arrive, you can sense the Kingdom’s rich history; all around you are remains of old civilizations that have long ago passed, but they still exist, carved into the fabric of this great Kingdom and the souls of the people who live here.

Discover the ancient ‘pink city’ of Petra. Enter the city via the Siq – a narrow canyon formed over thousands of years, and the grandeur of mysterious Petra is revealed. Venture to Wadi Rum and camp in the desert or escape the heat and enjoy a relaxing float in the salty water of the Dead Sea or dive into the Red Sea in Aquaba.

Best Time To Visit

Jordan is best visited in the spring (March to May) or fall (September to November). In these days you will enjoy warm days and temperate nights. It’s not too hot to go exploring or hiking in the nature reserves, which are rich in flora and animals. The water is still warm enough for a swim and marine life is plentiful.

Summer (June to August) is quite hot, but the summer longer daylight hours allow for more sightseeing. Additionally, prices and crowds both see a significant drop in the summer months.  Jordan, on the other hand, has a lot of snow in the winter (December to February) and very cold evenings, especially in the desert areas. The majority of the rain comes in brief, stinging showers at this time.
